Wing Guest Night - Dines out fellow officer...

Saturday 21st October saw the Annual East Lancashire Wing Guest night dine out fellow officer and gentleman, Flt Lt Graham Thomson, or as he would like to be know now, Graham.

Flt Lt Thomson started his service as a cadet at 292 (Eccles) Squadron. Appointed Adult Warrant Officer in 1994 and gaining his commission a few years later Flt Lt Thomson served with 292, 319 (City of Salford) and lastly 1471 (Horwich) as commanding officer.

Delivering his speech for a staggering 15 minutes, Graham managed to condense a hugely successful, not to mention interesting and colourful ATC career into a fun packed, humour ridden delivery with staff and guests giving him a standing ovation.

Graham doesn't escape that easily. He is rounding off his uniformed service by returning to where he started, by taking the position as civilian chairman for 292 (Eccles) Squadron.
